Barcelona 3-1 Celta Vigo

Barcelona defeated Celta Vigo 3-1 on Tuesday evening thanks to a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a goal from Memphis Depay, and a fantastic display from Ousmane Dembele.

Barcelona were not very brilliant in the first half and were on the verge of going down after some disastrous play from Ronald Araujo. When attempting a back ball to Marc-Andre ter Stegen, the centre-back lost his footing, allowing Iago Aspas to sneak in and score.

However, just as Aspas was about to score, Araujo made apologies for his prior error by flicking the ball away from the Spaniard.

On the half-hour mark, Barca awoke and seized the lead with their first serious attack of the game. Dembele's goal came after some beautiful play on the right flank, where he beat two guys on the touchline before squaring the ball to Memphis. With his next chance on goal, the Dutch international made no mistake, side-footing past Matias Dituro and into the net.

Celta Vigo had a chance to equalize five minutes later, but Ter Stegen wonderfully deflected Thiago Galhardo's looping shot from the edge of the penalty area round the post.

Elche 0-2 Atletico Madrid

With a convincing win over Elche, Atletico Madrid almost assured themselves of Champions League football next season.

Renan Lodi picked down a long diagonal ball from Antoine Griezmann and sent a low cross into Matheus Cunha, who nudged home just before the half-hour mark to put the Rojiblancos ahead.

Elche posed little threat, and Cunha was unlucky to have an effort cleared off the line by Pedro Bigas before Rodrigo de Paul sealed the win in the 63rd minute.

Griezmann's one-two with the midfielder sliced through the home defense before Griezmann unselfishly crossed the ball for De Paul to finish in an empty net.

With two games remaining, the result propels Atletico to third place in the league, six points ahead of Real Betis in fifth.

Real Madrid 6-0 Levante

Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid swept away Levante 6-0 in La Liga in their penultimate meeting at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, condemning Los Granotas to relegation from the top flight.

Los Blancos took an early lead after only 13 minutes, and it came from an unexpected source: Ferland Mendy. After a sprinting run down the left wing, the full-back scored his second goal of the season with a near-post finish.

With twenty minutes remaining, Madrid extended their advantage, when Karim Benzema scored an easy header at the back post to equal Raul Gonzalez's goal scoring record for the club.

Levante was put to the sword again as Madrid scored their third goal just after the half-hour mark, with Rodrygo converting a low cross from Luka Modric.

On the stroke of half-time, the Croatian had his third assist of the game as Real scored their fourth goal, with Vinicius Jr. getting in on the act with a superb finish low into the bottom corner.

Vini Jr. got his brace in the 68th minute, knocking in from close range after Benzema's cut-back.

With eight minutes remaining, the winger accomplished a stunning hat-trick, his first for Los Blancos, with a close-range strike into the net.
