Highlights

Bayern Munich won their 10th consecutive Bundesliga title on Saturday, defeating Borussia Dortmund 3-1 with three games remaining in the season.

Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski scored in the first half to put the hosts up 2-0, but Emre Can halved the deficit with a penalty in the 52nd minute. Seven minutes before the conclusion, Jamal Musiala scored Bayern's third goal.

Bayern, who are 12 points ahead of Dortmund in second place, have won 31 Bundesliga titles and 32 German league titles since the top division was established in 1963.

Bayern was keen to win the league title — their lone silverware of the season — in front of a 75,000-strong home crowd to atone for their Champions League quarter-final elimination to Villarreal earlier this month.

They took their first chance through Gnabry, who collected the ball with one touch on the edge of the box and unleashed a ferocious volley past Marwin Hitz, who was left motionless on the spot.

On the half-hour mark, Gnabry placed the ball in the net again, but his effort was deemed offside. Lewandowski, the league's leading scorer, improved his position in the 34th minute when Gnabry grabbed possession and Thomas Mueller, who became the first player to win 11 Bundesliga titles, feed the Pole, who tucked in through Hitz's legs for his 33rd league goal.

Lewandowski, whose future at the club is uncertain due to the lack of a contract extension beyond his current 2023 term, is on course to win the Bundesliga top scorer award for the seventh time and fifth time in a row.

When Marco Reus was fouled by Joshua Kimmich at the start of the second half, Dortmund was awarded a penalties, which Can converted. Despite efforts from Reus and Erling Haaland, the visitors were unable to score another goal.

Instead, Bayern scored through substitute Musiala to clinch the title, and the Bayern club bosses and coach Julian Nagelsmann celebrated their first league title with champagne in the box seats.

Dortmund has 63 points, while Bayer Leverkusen is in third place with 55.
