Inter Milan 3-1 AS Roma

Inter Milan were comfortable 3-1 winners over Roma in a match that might have a huge impact on the Serie A title race.

Inter seized the lead as Hakan Calhanoglu threaded a ball through the Roma high line, picking out Denzel Dumfries' diagonal run, and the Dutch wing-back tapped past Rui Patricio after an uneventful first half-hour.

Marcelo Brozovic turned inside Gianluca Mancini and blasted an exquisite effort inside the top right hand upright ten minutes later to double the lead.

When Lautaro Martinez headed home Calhanoglu's corner seven minutes into the second half, the game was gone.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan slammed home substitute Eldor Shomurodov's clever cut back from the by-line five minutes from time to give Roma a sliver of hope.

With the same number of games played, the win puts Inter a point ahead of city rivals AC Milan at the top of the standings, and with only bottom-half sides in their next five games, it's tough to imagine them not earning another Scudetto.

After this defeat, Rona's chances of reaching Juventus, who are five points away in fourth place, appear bleak.

Lazio 1-2 AC Milan

Milan moved two points clear of Inter at the top of the Serie A table after beating Lazio 1-2 thanks to a last-gasp winner from Sandro Tonali.

The hosts were unable to clear the ball well enough, allowing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to nod down to Tonali, who poked in and sparked wild celebrations.

Maurizio Sarri's side had the better start and were rewarded with an early goal when Sergej Milinkovic-Savic delivered a low cross that Ciro Immobile tapped home from close range for his 26th goal of the season.

Milan replied strongly and created a few chances of their own, but they were unable to break down a tenacious Lazio defense.

Milan eventually equalized after the break when Rafael Leao sprinted through the opponents' back four and crossed the ball to Olivier Giroud, who slid in and finished.

Both teams went for it in an entertaining match at the Stadio Olimpico, and Milan eventually found the winner in stoppage time to grab a huge three points as they quest for their first Scudetto victory since 2011.

Sassuolo 1-2 Juventus

Moise Kean's goal two minutes from time gave Juventus victory over Sassuolo, putting the Bianconeri in a strong position to finish in the top four.

Giacomo Raspadori's opening, which he drove inside Wojciech Szczesny's near post after sprinting onto Domenico Berardi's backheel, was just reward for the mid-table hosts' superiority in the first half.

Paolo Dybala's clever strike caught Andrea Consigli off guard in the final minute of the first half brought the Old Lady back level against the run of play. In the build-up, Alvaro Morata appeared to foul Sassuolo full-back Giorgos Kyriakopoulos, but VAR upheld the goal.

The game appeared to be heading for a draw until Kean was played through in the left side of the area, and Consigli somehow let it to sneak under his body and into the net from a tight angle.

Juventus is already eight points clear of fifth place. Roma's chances of catching the Old Lady for the final Champions League spot appear to be dwindling. Sassuolo is still in tenth place.
